FAQs

What are the payment options?

Once you have decided which bear or bears you want, and have added them to your shopping cart, there are a number of methods you can use to pay for your order, but do make sure you have agreed any personalisations before payment.

Then you have a choice to pay as follows:

1 - Pay directly on this website.

2 - Contact us to make a payment direct by PayPal.

3 - If you are local to Livingston, Scotland, you can pay by cheque or cash in person.

Please note that whichever option you choose, payment is required in full prior to posting or delivery.

What Materials are suitable for use in a Memory Bear?

Unfortunately, there is no straight answer to which materials are suited. It is best to discuss your requirements with us, but, as a general rule, material that doesn't stretch, is best.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes!, you can purchase a gift of a bear for someone else, and choose either a specific Teddy, or pay in full, or in part for any bear, leaving the final choice up to the new owner. Please contact us for further information and options, or choose an option from the gift card tab?

What is your return policy?

We make every effort to ensure that these hand made Teddies are constructed as carefully as possible, however, if a fault occurs, we will repair the Teddy if you post it back to us. We also offer a repair service, should Teddy have been mistreated or damaged in any way, and this can be arranged after contacting us. Please note that any personalisation cannot be refunded in any way, after this work has been carried out on your bear.
We do our best to ensure that any Teddy from our standard Tartan Range will be constructed to the highest standard using good quality Tartan. If your Teddy has been made from material you have supplied for us to make you a memory bear, we have no control of the quality of material you supply, so therefore unfortunately cannot give any guarantee for Memory Bears. Please also note that not all material can be used in the making of a Memory Bear. Please ask if in doubt? We will advise if your material is suitable for use.

How long does it take to make?

Standard Tartan Teddy Bears take about 3.5 hours to make from when we have the actual tartan material available. We keep a stock of standard tartans, but if you wish a particular tartan, please ask us for an estimated delivery time. Some tartans are readily available whilst others may need to be ordered from the weavers, which means that the delivery time is outwith our control.
Memory Bears take a similar time to make, so long as the material supplied is suitable. If the bear needs to be lined first, this can take an additional hour.
The delivery of bears also is dependant upon how busy we are, but we aim to have a Teddy Bear made and available to collect or post within 7 days. We would advise you of any delays to this estimate.
Ring Cushions, Garters, and Corsage can normally be made and available within 4 days.
Please note that postage can add delays to the delivery time. Postage outwith the UK can take around 10 days, and recently, Bears travelling to both USA and Australia have added a postage cost of around £20 Sterling. This is obviously a cost outwith our control, and we would always seek the most cost effective route for delivery, and never add any costs to actual costs of delivery.
